Serving Carrollton and the DFW metroplex

Your website, built right and kept that way.

Most local business websites don't fail on launch day. They rot — the certificate expires, the page builder gets retired, the phone number changes and nobody updates it. WebKeeper builds the site, then keeps it working every month so you never have to think about it again.

Why sites go bad

Nobody builds a broken website. They just stop maintaining it.

We've checked hundreds of local contractor and service-business websites across the DFW area. These five faults come up again and again, and every one of them costs a customer who was ready to call.

  • 01The security certificate expired Google Chrome puts a full-page red warning in front of your site. Most people never click through it. A certificate lasts 90 days and has to renew itself. When it stops renewing, nobody tells you.
  • 02The platform was retired Sites built on old page builders keep running until the day they don't. The builder is gone, the login doesn't work, and the person who set it up hasn't answered an email in four years.
  • 03It doesn't work on a phone Over two-thirds of the people looking for a plumber at 9pm are on a phone. If they have to pinch and zoom to find your number, they go back to the search results.
  • 04The domain lapsed Domain renewals go to an email nobody checks. We find businesses whose web address is sitting in redemption — buyable by a competitor — and they have no idea.
  • 05Somebody else owns your name The web guy registered the domain in his own name. So did the marketing company. When you part ways, your address goes with them. This is more common than it should be.
  • None of this is your job You run a crew, not a server. The whole point of a monthly plan is that these six things are somebody's actual responsibility — ours.
  • Not sure which of these applies to you? The free site review checks all five and tells you plainly, including “nothing” if that's the answer.
What we do

Build it once. Keep it working forever.

Every plan is the same two halves: a site that's built properly, and somebody watching it after that.

Website design and build

A fast, mobile-first site written around what your customers actually search for. No page builder, no plugin sprawl, no thirty-second load times. Typically live within a week.

Hosting and SSL, handled

Your site sits on managed hosting with a certificate that renews itself and a monitor that tells us if it goes down. You will never get a call from a customer saying your site looks unsafe.

Domain watch and ownership

Your domain is registered in your name, with you as the legal owner — and we watch the renewal date so it never lapses. If you already own one, we transfer it in, free.

Content updates

New service, new phone number, new hours, a seasonal promo, photos from last week's job. Email it over and it's on the site — no ticket system, no change order.

Local search setup

Google Business Profile cleaned up and pointed at the new site, consistent name, address and phone everywhere, and the structured data that lets Google show your hours and service area.

Rescue and migration

Stuck on a dead platform, or locked out of a site somebody else built? We rebuild it, move it, and get your name and content back under your control. Common, and fixable.

How it works

You'll see the site before you spend a dollar.

Most web companies ask you to pay for a discovery phase and then show you a wireframe. We'd rather just build it and let you look.

  1. Free site reviewWe look at what you have now — certificate, mobile, speed, domain ownership — and send you a short, plain-English list of what's actually wrong.
  2. We build a real demoNot a mockup. A working site at a live, secure address, with your services and your service area on it. Usually within a few days.
  3. You look and we adjustChanges are free at this stage. When it's right, we add your real photos and your real reviews — we never invent either.
  4. We flip it live and keep itYour domain points at the new site, and from that day the certificate, the hosting and the updates are our problem, not yours.
Examples

Every demo is live, and every one is secured.

We keep working examples at a real, encrypted address so you can open one on your phone right now and see exactly what you'd be getting — how fast it loads, how the contact form behaves, how it reads with one thumb.

No screenshots, no PDFs, no "imagine if". If a site we show you doesn't load properly on your phone in the parking lot, we haven't earned the conversation.

Questions

The things people actually ask.

Why a monthly fee instead of just buying a website?

Because a one-time website is how you end up here again in three years. The build is the easy part — the certificate renewals, the domain, the hosting, the updates, and somebody noticing when it breaks are the part that keeps it earning. The monthly fee is what makes that somebody's job.

Who owns the domain and the website?

You do. The domain is registered in your name with you as the legal registrant — not ours. Your content and your photos are yours. If you cancel, we hand over the files and release the domain. We think tying a client in by holding their name hostage is a bad way to run a business, and it's the single most common problem we find when we look at somebody's existing setup.

What's the catch with the 24-month term?

No catch, just math. A site takes real work to build up front, so a longer commitment lets us waive the setup fee instead of charging for it. If you'd rather not commit that long, the 12-month term with a $299 setup fee costs about the same over two years. After the initial term either plan goes month-to-month.

How fast can you have something live?

A demo you can look at is usually a few days. Going live depends mostly on you — getting photos and reviewing the copy. Most sites go live within one to two weeks of the first conversation. If your current site is down or your domain is about to expire, say so and we'll move that day.

Will you use fake photos or made-up reviews?

No. Ever. Stock photos of somebody else's crew and invented testimonials are obvious to customers and they damage trust more than an empty section would. We use your photos, or we come take some. Reviews come from your actual Google profile or they don't go on the site.

I already have a website. Can you just fix it?

Often, yes — and we'll tell you honestly which it should be. If the underlying site is decent and the problem is a certificate or hosting, that's a much smaller conversation than a rebuild. If it's sitting on a platform that no longer exists, rebuilding is cheaper than fighting it. The free site review tells you which situation you're in, with no obligation either way.

Do you work with businesses outside DFW?

We're based in Carrollton and most of our work is within about an hour of here, because being able to show up and take photos matters. If you're further out and can handle the photo side, everything else works fine remotely.

What happens if my site goes down?

We find out before you do. Uptime monitoring checks the site around the clock and alerts us, not you. Certificate expiry is monitored separately, because that's the failure that looks worst to a customer and gives the least warning.

Get started

Free site review, no obligation.

Tell us your business name or web address. We'll check the certificate, the mobile layout, the load speed and who actually owns your domain, and send you a short plain-English summary. If everything's fine, we'll tell you that too.

We reply within one business day. We don't sell or share your details, and we won't text you — email or a phone call only.

Rather just email?

Send your business name and web address to hello@webkeeper.net and we'll do the same review.

What you'll get back

A short email, in plain English, listing what we actually found — the certificate, how the site behaves on a phone, how fast it loads, and who's listed as the legal owner of your domain.

No PDF, no score out of a hundred, no pitch deck. If there's nothing wrong, the email says that.

Already have a demo link?

If we sent you a site to look at, it lives at demos.webkeeper.net. It's live and secured, and it's not going anywhere while you think about it.
